  1. Superflat and Superstroke

Superstroke as a concept in art was conceived because of a result 2 things in contemporaty art.
Firstly the Generalism Art Movent became too unfocused and complex, and needed consolidation.
Secondly it was as a reaction to Superflat, the Art Movement started by the world famous and brilliant Japanese artist Takashi Murakami.

Superflat and Superstroke have one very important things in common. These Art Movements are the only Art Movements known in the world today where the primary focus is texture.
As the names imply, Superflat paintings generally has a flat texture, where in Superstroke the texture is the opposite.

Superflat can usually be identified as paintings where key theme is Japanese animation.
Superstroke paintings consists out of 4 elements namely Realism, Non Representational Abstraction, The Stylized image and Element Combination and are executed in both full color and monochrome
